List of Amazing Cars in Fast & Furious 7
The Fast & Furious franchise has already proven its vigor as a cash-cow blockbuster franchise, but after six installments there are some new and very serious questions hanging over the next movie, Fast & Furious 7. The franchise was revitalized by director Justin Lin – who helmed the series from Tokyo Drift through F&F6 - but Lin left due to a rushed turnaround in production, and director James Wan (Death Sentence, The Conjuring) took his place.
In a movie where the rides play as pivotal of a role as the actors driving them, the vehicles featured in the latest installment of The Fast and the Furious deserve some recognition. Furious 7 is slated to be one of the most action-packed installments yet and it’s no surprise that part of the $250 million budget went towards an impressive lineup of vehicles.
1970 Dodge Charger R/T
Dom (Vin Diesel) will continue to enjoy his classic black Charger from the first, fourth, and fifth installments. The vehicle is reported to feature 4×4 tires for at least some of the scenes, which should be interesting on a muscle car.
1970 Plymouth Barracuda
This black muscle car is the same one that appears at the end of Furious 6 and will make its return in the seventh installment. It’s likely the vehicle has an important role because several copies of the vehicle were reportedly spotted on the Los Angeles set.
1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
This gray muscle car is expected to feature the same 4×4 tires as the 70 Charger. The vehicle will be heavily modified for off-roading abilities.
1989-94 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) has been spotted in several Japanese cars throughout the series and Furious 7 won’t be any different. You can expect to see him driving a black Nissan Skyline in the film.
2011 Dodge Challenger SRT-8
This green and black ride will be spotted in various chase scenes. The newer body reflects the classic muscle car styling.
2011 Bugatti Veyron
The French sports car will be spotted in white in some desert scenes through the film. The race scenes should be particularly gut-wrenching since these cars start at $2.25 million.
Ferarri 458 Italia
This sleek yellow ride from Italy will be in the same scenes as the 2011 Bugatti Veyron. A race at this price point is sure to be glorious but with The Fast and the Furious’s propensity for destroying beautiful vehicles, who knows what will survive.
2004+ Aston Martin DB9
A brand new Aston Martin DB9 goes for around a base price of $184,000, which is obviously no drop in the bucket. The car appears to be driven by the new lead antagonist, Deckard Shaw played by Jason Statham.
2014 Maserati Ghibli
The Maserati Ghibli is surprising low priced by comparison, coming in at about a $67,000 base price. The vehicle is rumored to be driven by Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and it will appear in some action-packed scenes.
2011+ Subaru Impreza WRX STi
The Subaru Impreza is a popular vehicle for racing enthusiasts, particularly because of its low base price. Paul Walker’s character maintains his affinity for Japanese made vehicles and is expected to appear in this car.
Lykan HyperSportThe Lykan HyperSport was revealed as an addition to The Fast and the Furious franchise in a big way during this year’s Super Bowl spot. In the spot, Vin Diesel’s Dom jumps the car from one skyscraper to another! At $3.4 million, the Lykan HyperSport is the third most expensive car to ever be made.
